It was pretty funny to see the pelicans, however the show was short and after calling everyone in he drops the fact that it costs 5 dollars per person to see the show you are in the middle of seeing.

We saw this pelican feeding in the end of March, and I found it interesting. The birds, apparently, are so used to people now that they are no longer afraid of them. I'd say that pelicans were just ignoring everyone except the person who was feeding them. But for us, the spectators, it was a great opportunity to see pelicans so up-close and personal.

Pelicans were there ready for an easy feed but no feeder

The experience of seeing the Pelicans up close is really nice, they arrive "on stage" at least 10 minutes before the guy comes to feed them.

If I could give it a zero I would. Closed down

What I didn't like about the show is the money extortion at the end of the show, it just didn't feel right the way it was done.

However the guy who feeds them is a bit dodgy, he explains a few minutes into the show that it costs $5pp (NOT a "donation"), due to cost of the food (clearly fish scraps), and tries to shame people who leave at that point. He was later further spinning his story explaining his costs also covers travel and insurance in case anyone falls/etc. This taints the experience somewhat. If the cost was clear upfront (e.g. signage, entry price), I would have been happy to pay, and it would feel less of a scammy manipulation, because expectations would have been set correctly... I can only imagine there are equally dodgy reasons he doesn't make the fact he charges public.

Nice experience but the cost should be mentioned before the show. We were surprised to be asked aggressively/forced to pay after the show!!!
